Our staked POL integration allows staking with any supported validator. When you stake, you start earning immediately. Rewards need to be claimed manually and are credited every day.

Claim rewards

Once the amount of earned rewards reaches 1 POL, theCLAIM_REWARDSpending action will be available and the users need to be manually claimed for this integration. Rewards will accrue to a position's rewards balance and the pending action CLAIM_REWARDS can be called to claim these rewards to the user's available balance.

Withdraw

After the 2-day unbonding period has passed, users will need to withdraw their unstaked balance to make it available again. You can track both this unbonding progress as well as the balance available to be withdrawn via our /stake/balances endpoint.

Considerations

1. POL staking occurs on the Ethereum network, not Polygon. Users can either buy POL on Ethereum or bridge their POL tokens from Polygon to Ethereum.
2. If a user already has a staked position that has been earning rewards and delegates more, the claiming of POL staking rewards will be triggered. POL earned from staking rewards will then be added to the user's available balance.
3. Users who unstake their staked POL positions will have the claim rewards triggered during the exit from their position. Therefore, they won't be required to wait until the 1 POL threshold is reached to manually claim the rewards using theCLAIM_REWARDSpending action.
4. The minimum amount required to unstake is 1 POL. If a user’s staked balance falls below 1 POL after unstaking, they won’t be able to unstake the remaining balance. To do so, they would need to stake additional POL and then unstake the full amount.
